Get Ready to Recycle Glass beginning June 1, 2019

There is MORE good news from the Tamworth Recycling Project, the Selectboard and theTransfer Station that will save our town money and reduce the amount of waste in our landfill. Clean glass bottles, jars and other glass products will be taken by Waste Management and crushed to make a processed glass aggregate. Recycling glass will save our town $37 per ton. Clean glass will be accepted at the transfer station beginning June 1st. More details will be provided on the types of glass accepted in the next few weeks.
