Part Time Deputy/Assistant Town Clerk/Tax Collector
Appointed Non-Beneficial Position
The Town of Tamworth, NH is seeking a resident or non-resident who is interested in a part time hourly paid position to assist in the Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s office. This position averages 7 – 15 hours per week, flexible scheduling, with possible Growth Opportunities. The successful applicant will assist in all office functions performed under the direction of the Town clerk/Tax collector.
Minimum qualifications include computer literacy, knowledge of bookkeeping practices, and strong customer service skills. A successful candidate will possess a High School diploma/GED with 2 years documented experience in general office practices. Experience with Windows based computer applications is required. You do not need to be a resident to apply.  
This position is an entry-level position with training provided by the Town Clerk/Tax Collector. Pay range varies to start $16.00-$18.00 depending on qualifications and experience.  Successful completion of State training is required for different aspects of the Deputy Position as well as pre-employment screening requirements. Municipal experience is preferred but not required.
