Tamworth Town Clerk/Tax Collectors Office
With continued concerns of the Covid19 virus and the safety of our staff and the public as well:
The Tamworth Town Clerk/Tax Collectors Office is open Tues, Weds, & Fridays from 9-12 or 1-4pm with our “Curbside” Service utilizing our Black Lock Box for those looking to “renew” their Motor Vehicle Registrations. At the current time this renewal process can also be completed on-line through the Town of Tamworth Website (www.tamworthnh.org) on the Home Page on the left-hand side by clicking on “On-Line Payments & Services” and then choosing the “E-REG” icon. If by postal mail or Lock Box option you can call the Town Clerk’s office and leave a message with your contact information so that we may call you back with the amounts due or you can use our “curbside” service while you wait in your car.
Thursdays are by appointment only from 9-12 or 1-6 pm to process either “New” Motor Vehicle Registrations by private sale or the “issuing of new plates”. You must have a confirmed appointment time on Thursdays with the Town Clerk’s Office before coming. The transferring of plates with a NH Dealers title application may be completed during our “curbside” service on Tues, Weds, or Fri’s. You will need “Town Clerk Copy” of Title app, bill of sale/sales invoice, and registration from previous car.
If you wish to pay property taxes, license your dog, or request a vital record you may either use our online services, including the new icon for our Facilities Permit (AKA Transfer Station Sticker), or our curbside services. You can reach our office at email@example.com or at 323-7971 x12.
Please note the new Facilities Permit (Transfer Station Sticker) is now available and with the updated Facilities Permit Policy one has until April 30th, 2021 to retrieve a new 2-year permit sticker. You can read about the new policy and how to obtain your stickers on the home page of the town website:
