The Tamworth Board of Selectmen will be holding a Public Hearing in accordance with RSA 79-D:5; Discretionary Preservation Easements on August 28, 2014 at 5 p.m. to act on the renewal applications for: Roberts Trust (Map 218 Lot 119-001), Donald & Joanna Harte (Map 407 Lot 67), and Herb & Charlotte Cooper (Map 414 Lot 103). This hearing will be held at the Tamworth Town House located at 27 Cleveland Hill Road.

The Statistical Update for the Town has been completed and letters were sent to all property owners who's values changed. The letters did NOT reflect the current use values or any credits or exemptions that are applied prior to your tax bill being sent out. This value only represented the appraised value of the property. To dispute your assessment you may file an abatement after you receive your November/December tax bill but no later than March 1. The Town of Tamworth will be celebrating its 250th Anniversary in 2016. In preparation for this celebration the Town is raising funds and establishing a committee(s) to start the planning process. The Planning Board has adopted revised Subdivision Regulations, and revised application forms for Conceptual Review, Design Review, Subdivision Application, and Boundary Line Adjustment. Copies are available at the Town Office, and on this website under Regulations and Applications. Please note that all applications should be filed by the close of business on the 1st of the month for the application to be considered at that month’s meeting.

Residents & non-residents alike can pay for their motor vehicle registrations, register their dogs, request vital records and pay their property taxes online. Access this program from the Town's website of tamworthnh.org then by clicking on the icon on the right side of the screen. Once this icon is selected, the applicant will be brought to another site in which they would select the item that they would like to accomplish. Payments can be made by Master Card, Visa, JCB Bank, and Discover or by utilizing your checking account. Please note: the actual MV registration processing takes 3-5 business days and should not be utilized if too close to the end of the renewal month. The processing time for vital records is also 3-5 business days.
