is requesting bids on excess topsoil
that is stock piled at the Town Garage.
Material must be removed from the
site on or before August 1, 2009 and
payment for this material must be received
prior to any material leaving the site.

between 7:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m.
All bids must be received on or before
4:00 p.m. July 16, 2009 and the Tamworth
Board of Selectmen have the right to accept
or reject any and all bids

The contract for work on the 2008 Chocorua Village Safety Improvements project was awarded to Nelson Communications Services of Conway, NH on April 16, 2008, for a bid of $445,488. The work will be supervised by design engineers from Fay, Spofford & Thorndike, and is scheduled for completion by September. Current work extends from the intersection of Routes 16 and 113, north to the dry-hydrant by the Chocorua River. All work is being conducted within the existing highway right-of-way, plus a parcel of land owned by the Town which was previously occupied by the Chocorua Village Store. The contract reads: "The work shall consist of roadway widening and subgrade reconstruction, furnishing and installing a closed drainage system, granite curb, concrete sidewalks, street paving, and restoring of bituminous driveway aprons, retaining walls...Bio-retention drainage area, deciduous street trees, and ornamental roadway lighting basic infrastructure."
