TOWN CLERK / TAX COLLECTOR The Town Clerk is responsible for maintaining town records, handling vehicle registrations and titles, recording vital statistics, and issuing permits, town stickers and licenses. The Town Clerk/Tax Collector keeps track of all taxes due, collected, and abated, and of all property sold for nonpayment of taxes, and reports to the selectmen on the status of all tax matters at the end of the fiscal year. The Town Clerk/Tax Collector also acts as an election official. The Town Clerk/Tax Collector is elected to a three-year term.
