Chocorua Community Association
A network of Chocorua/Tamworth residents dedicated to improving the appearance of Chocorua Village while also making the area safe for pedestrians and vehicular traffic.


Chocorua Ladies Aid Society
Chocorua Ladies Aid
Monthly lunch meetings for women of all ages. Raises funds for annual distribution to Tamworth organizations.

Meetings on the fourth Tuesday of the month, September-June at Runnells Hall in Chocorua Village at 12:00 noon.

Membership - $10 annually payable in June plus participation in at least one fundraising event. New members are always welcome.

Chocorua Lake Association
Preserves the water quality of Chocorua Lake; maintains and preserves the Sandy Beach and Grove areas.


Chocorua Lake Conservation Foundation
Preserves and protects the scenic environment of the Chocorua Lake region.


Chocorua Mountain Club
Helps the Forest Service maintain the Brook, Beeline, Hammond and Weetamo Trails on Mt. Chocorua and the Beeline, Old Paugus and Whitin Brook Trails on Mt. Paugus.


Cub Scout Pack 151
Scouting for boys ages 6-10.

The Cub Scout Pack is no longer active. People interested in restarting the Pack can contact the Scouting Unit Commissioner, Joe Scherr, at 539-7131.


Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains
Inspires girls with the highest ideals of character, conduct, patriotism and service so that they may become happy and resourceful citizens.

Creates and maintains trails in the Mill Brook area.

Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm
Education on the life of a rural country doctor; preservation and interpretation of the Remick property for the benefit of the public. The admission fee to enter this facility is $3 per person or $10 per family per day.

Runnells Hall
Located at 25 Deer Hill Road in the village of Chocorua, Runnells Hall provides a public sapce available for educational, entertainment and fund-raising events such as small weddings, showers, meetings, receptions, and musical programs. Non-professional volunteer assistance to help residents maintain their independence and dignity in their own homes.

To educate Tamworth citizens about, and encourage their participation in, local government and community; to facilitate productive and positive communications among all citizens and government entities in Tamworth. Publishes the Tamworth Civic News every other month.

CASA of NH
CASA of NH works year round to provide quality services to the children victims of abuse and / or neglect. Procedures for becoming a volunteer include recruitment, screening, training, and some become Guardian ad Litem which assist the children, representing their best interest in the court system.

Ossipee Valley Snowmobile Club
A family orientated organization devoted to promoting safe and responsible snowmobiling. Responsible for maintenance of seventy-five miles of multiuse trails for hiking, skiing, snowmobiling or sled dog racing.
